Commentary on Social Security Resignation

Michelle King, a career federal worker who had been with SSA since 1994, quit over the DOGE disagreement Saturday and was replaced by Leland Dudek.

Oh, what a shocker! The head of Social Security resigns over a little spat with DOGE. Because, you know, who actually needs to focus on the important stuff like, I don’t know, managing social security roles and payments? It’s not like there are illegal aliens cashing in on benefits or dead people still receiving checks. But hey, let’s just ignore that little detail, shall we?

One has to wonder what she was busy doing all this time—maybe trying to figure out how to invest in meme coins instead of keeping track of who’s actually alive and entitled to benefits? It’s almost impressive how she managed to overlook such glaring issues.

So, goodbye and good riddance to the leader of Social Security! I’m sure the ghosts of the beneficiaries will miss her. After all, who wouldn’t want a leader who’s more concerned with cryptocurrency than with, you know, actual living citizens?
